Mild Side Effects
Many side effects of Terbutaline use are not significantly disruptive to one’s health. But being attentive to what may be indicators of an unexpected health issue is important for addressing any problems early.
Mild but potentially uncomfortable effects:
- Rapid heart rate
- Increased perspiration
- Lightheadedness
- Drowsiness
- Restlessness
- Sleeplessness (infrequent)
- Headache
- Nausea
- Heartburn
- Muscle cramps in limbs
- Vomiting (more common when administered through IV)
- Increased blood sugar (frequent- 40% abnormal one-hour glucose test)
